Assignment Policy
With the exception of your name and the identification of the assignment written in non-erasable ink, all work shall be written in pencil.
The assignment number and the assignment description shall be written on all assignments submitted in the upper left corner of the assignment.
All assignments shall be completed on 8½ x 11 binder paper. Any paper removed from a spiral bound notebook shall have the strip removed that contains the ragged edge. Assignments with the ragged edge attached to the paper will not be accepted.
Assignments requiring graphs shall be completed on graph paper. Graphs that have been sketched on binder paper or any other paper that is not graph paper will be downgraded.
Unless otherwise stated, assignments from "worksheets" shall be done on binder/graph paper and not on the provided worksheet.
Unless otherwise stated, assignments are due on the next calendar school day.
Work submitted late shall receive no more than half credit unless the work was assigned during an excused absence. No work will be accepted that is over two weeks late; this includes work for excused absences. With the exception of work assigned during an excused absence, no late work will be accepted during the last two weeks of the semester.
Once evaluated, assignments will be returned with a score ranging from 0 - 4. An additional quiz point (extra credit) may be earned by showing all work and providing a correct answer to a randomly selected problem.
Scores for returned assignments shall be recorded on a "Stamp Sheet" that is to be kept by the student until the stamp sheet is due. All entries on the stamp sheet including the student's name shall be written in non-erasable ink. Stamp sheets are due and collected for recording after every ten (10) assignments. Each stamp sheet has places to record ten scores. Forty points recorded from a stamp sheet represents 100%. If a student were to receive the maximum of 4 points for each assignment and also the quiz point for each assignment, fifty points would be possible representing 125%.
